Fiona Nicholls

Fiona is an experienced executive and non-executive Director on public company, private and not for profit boards with a successful track record of adapting change management principles to deliver sustained outcomes in large scale, multidisciplinary and geographically diverse internal and external stakeholder groups. Building on tertiary qualifications in natural resources and business over 30 years, her experiences developed from field work to the executive committee in the resources industry.

Fiona is the Executive Director of F.N. Sustainability, and through it, seeks to provide sustainability support to businesses, implementing practical solutions that are innovative, effective and scalable.

Prof Mark Dodgson AO

Mark is Professor of Innovation Studies at the University of Queensland Business School, and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London.

Mark has been a Board or Advisory Board member of two multi-billion-dollar companies and five start-ups. He has advised numerous companies and governments around the world and has researched and taught innovation in over 60 countries. Mark has written or edited 18 books and over 100 academic articles and book chapters on innovation.

Mark was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2019 for his distinguished service in the field of business innovation strategy.

Dr Geoff Garrett AO FTSE

A Cambridge educated metallurgist, and 13 years an academic, Geoff was Queensland Chief Scientist for 6 years (2011 to 2016). Prior to this he led, as Chief Executive, two of the world's major national science agencies, the CSIRO in Australia (2001 to 2008) and the CSIR in South Africa (1995 to 2000).

In 1998 he was named ‘Engineer of the Year’ by the South African Society of Professional Engineers, and South Africa’s ‘Boss of the Year’. Here in Australia he is a recipient of the Centenary Medal for service to Australian society through science, and was named by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia’s 2008 ‘True Leaders’. In June 2008 he was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Geoff is the co-author with Sir Graeme Davies, formerly Vice-Chancellor of the universities of Liverpool, Glasgow and London, of the highly regarded “Herding Cats - Being advice to aspiring academic and research leaders” (Triarchy Press, UK), and its sequel for leaders in the professions, “Herding Professional Cats”. He lectures in leadership and change management and provides coaching support in these areas to academics and to senior officers of the Australian Public Service. He is also presently Deputy Chair of the National Youth Science Forum and Patron of the Australian Citizen Science Association (ACSA). He provides support to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation as a member of their Partnerships Management Committee.

 
 

Prof Chris Greig

Chris is a professional executive and director with over 30 years’ experience in resource and energy industries. His has extensive experience in general management, technology, commercialization and the development and management of complex industrial projects.

Chris followed his industry career to academia where he was the founding director for the UQ Energy Initiative, Professor and Director of the Dow Centre for Sustainable Engineering Innovation at the University of Queensland. He is now the Theodora D. ’78 and William H. Walton III ’74 Senior Research Scientist in the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University where he leads a global low-carbon energy transition research program called Rapid Switch.

Chris has worked extensively throughout Asia, the Americas, Europe and Africa and has served on several Advisory Boards including ASX listed companies and Government owned corporations. His high-level technical qualifications coupled with a broad commercial and interdisciplinary experience and strong interpersonal skills continues to lead him into leadership roles in the energy, industrial and resource sectors.
